What We can do for you
Perhaps one of the most valuable resources we can provide is helping you find research opportunities. We understand that transfers are on more of a time crunch than freshman students, which makes establishing rapport with professors and finding research quite difficult and stressful.
Our goal is to equip students with knowledge and confidence in the process of searching for a research lab as well as providing an environment where students looking to get into research can comfortably connect with professors.
Winter 2025
This presentation outlines the following:
How to find a lab
Writing a cold email and cover letter
Red and green flags when searching for and visiting a lab
Resources to find research opportunities
Speaker event:
Our latest speaker event was Dr. Andreas Ernst, assistant professor fo the Department of Cell and Developmental Biology. A small group of students joined us to converse and ask questions about lab research, post-college plans, and Dr. Ernst's journey through academia and research.
