I'm tired of my default ringtone and don't really like any of all the others. Currently I've been A LOT into Muse and was thinking if there is any song that really gives off that ringtone vibe at any moment

For phone calls I used to have a ringtone of Trivium's Into the Mouth of Hell, but that is a unprofessional and a little inappropriate for the environment I work in ( K-12 School). For calls I have the default ring, for text messages and email I have sounds from Super Mario Bros. when I get a text it's the 1-up sound and when I get an email it's the coin sound.

Still a big fan of Weird Al singing "ringtone", from his ringtone song... I've not added that to my new phone yet. I've also got a collection of Star Trek sound effects I haven't gotten around to plugging in yet.

Video for that was really cool. Totally, 100% changes your perspective on the whole thing at the end, and then you realize you are just a little bit gender biased. I saw a youtube video on how they did the sampling for that song, pretty neat stuff.

Mario coin for work emails, and I switch off between Dean Winchester's guitar and the Doctor Who theme for ringtone. I used to have Matt Smith saying "You've got a text message. Text messages are cool." as my notification sound, but I had to silence it because it was constantly going off :(

I refer to my ringtone (Doctor Who theme, 10th Doctor) as the "nerd finder". When my phone rings in a public place I almost always get someone looking around for the source of the music. Its downside is watching Doctor Who marathons. I keep thinking my phone is ringing.

I've been having Logos Naki World by Yasushi Ishii Opens a new window (Theme song from the anime Hellsing) for about 2 years now and i cannot grow tired of it. The song simply does not get old, i love it!!

It works like this: You first download the Slacker Radio app to your phone, head over to the Slacker Tones section and select the music you want to use. To set a ringtone, select an individual song within Slacker Radio that you want to play when someone calls you. That song will download to your device and then you can select it as your ringtone.

Song-based ringtone and ringback tones have been around for years now, dating back to the days of early feature phones. However, this is the first time that you can use a streaming Internet radio service to pick your ringtone.

Samsung did away with personal ringtones?? I've always had certain music assigned to my close contacts. Tell me I'm just tired and not seeing or something!!! It's getting in my darn craw. Anyone else noticed this missing feature?

Did you know that you can assign a custom ringtone to a specific contact on your iPhone? This could come in handy if you want to know exactly who is calling you without having to take the phone out of your pocket.

We hope you were able to learn how to set a unique ringtone for your iPhone. Did you make your own ringtones or did you purchase any ringtones from the Tone Store? Share your tips, thoughts, and personal experiences in the comments.

To set a song as your ringtone it needs to saved in your Files app or must be purchased and downloaded on your phone. You can't use songs that you just have saved on Apple Music or another streaming service such as Spotify.

The easiest way to do this is to pick out your favorite song and save it to files using an mp3 converter or buy it in the iTunes Store. Then you'll have to create a loop of that song in GarageBand and export it as a ringtone. Don't worry, the process is quite easy, and we'll talk you through the steps.

I got a new cell phone a little while ago, because my old one just plain died after five years of abuse. The new one allows me to download .mp3 snippets as ringtones, and I've had some fun playing with it and putting in custom tones for the people who tend to call me. My wife gets the Monty Python Theme song (aka The Liberty Bell March), because she likes it.

But in my mind that was always a pre-election ringtone. Now I need something more permanent, or at least different. Ideally, I'd like something mixing the optimistic and the cautious, probably political, but more appropriate for the next months, a period in which the poetry of campaigning ripens into to the prose of governance. The ideal song would not be too obnoxious to others, and would sound nice to me, lend itself to excerpting, and no doubt meet many other criteria I'm too tired today to formulate.

Note: I have never ever liked the sound of Happy Days Are Here Again. That is Not An Option. I also rejected these stanzas from Talking Heads' Don't Worry About the Government because, much as I like the song, it's too jangly for a ringtone I'll hear over and over.

I set several alarms every week, using Google Assistant, voice, ie hands free.

My problem is that the default ringtone for new alarms is "Bixby alarm", which is frankly useless for waking me up. And, having impaired hearing, for pretty much everything else. I have got tired of not noticing or not hearing the default alarm.

I know that I can go to individual alarms and change the ringtone. However, there are literally no circumstances under which I would choose "Bixby alarm". And having to edit every single alarm I set should be unnecessary, in addition to which, there are times when I can't edit it, for example if I set an alarm while driving or if I have very dirty hands.

So, I want to change the default ring tone for alarms. I want to be able to say "Hey Google. Set alarm for 4.00" and know that an alarm will set for 4.00 with the ring tone "Loud scream" (or whatever) rather than the Bixby alarm which I can't always hear.

Does anyone have any ideas, please?

I don't know if you solved your problem or not, but I'm saying it fo anyone else who has same problem, open the sound that you wanna use as ringtone or alaram in Samsung music, then touch on there points and choose set as, there you can see few options for ringtone and alaram, and you can even chose form the begging or middle or wherever you want that song aplay as your alaram or ringtone 006ab0faaa
