My ancestors (Shaws,Denneys, Farlows, Wilburns) were from Tipton County, Indiana. I have attached a photo that has been in our families possession for decades. However, we are unable to ascertain who the individuals in the photo are. We suspect they are either Shaws (perhaps Isaac Shaw son of Knowles Shaw) or perhaps Albin Shaw (son of Isaac Shaw), or it could be of Denneys, we truly do not know. So I am hoping someone may be able to identify who these folks were. The Photo had been torn into a dozen pieces from which I patched together what you see.
I'm enclosing a picture of an early baseball team. I feel sure that it's a Tipton team because the man in the black hat is my Grandfather Hallie Lane. He looks like he must have been the manager. This ought to give a few people something to study. I would like to know who these boys are.
If you know who these people are please e-mail Phil Lane
This lady with, I assume, her children is unknown to me, but I suspect they are related. They could possibly be from my family surnames of: Lane; Bishop; Lawrence; Phares; Jobin; Nutter; Vice; Wimer; or Harper. I have no dating reference. Phil Lane
This gentleman's picture was made about 1896, and was among a large group of family pictures handed down. Some likely surnames from my ancestors could be: Lane; Bishop; Lawrence; Phares; Jobin; Nutter; Vice; Wimer; or Harper. The picture was taken in Paxton, Illinois. I hope someone can relate to him.
