As IB students, we summarised corruption with a critical and analytical perspective. We recognized that corruption is a systemic issue that has negative impacts on societies and economies. In order to combat corruption, we emphasized the importance of a comprehensive approach that includes legal and regulatory frameworks, transparency, and accountability. We also understood the economic consequences of corruption, including reduced economic growth, higher healthcare costs, and limited access to essential medicines.
Therefore, we would recognize the need for individuals, organizations, and governments to work together to promote integrity and accountability in order to prevent and combat corruption and create a more just and equitable society.
