TipsLog keeps a history of your customers, orders and tips on your phone, so you can see how a customer has tipped before. There is no account, no login and no TipsLog server. Nothing you record is uploaded to us. It leaves your phone only when you choose to back it up or to send a problem report.
Screenshots you share with TipsLog. The text is read on your phone (Google ML Kit, offline). From an order screenshot the app saves the customer's name, address, order number, delivery window, store and order total; from a tip notification screenshot, the tip amount and the order number. The image is not uploaded anywhere.
Tip notifications from the Shipt Shopper app. With notification access granted, TipsLog reads only that app's tip notifications and records the amount on the matching order. Notifications from other apps are ignored and nothing is forwarded.
What you type: tips, notes and the "preferred customer" mark.
Everything is stored in the app's private storage on your phone and is never sent to the developer.
Notification access — to capture tips automatically, as described above. Granted once in Android settings; you can revoke it at any time.
Screenshots folder (optional). If you select your Screenshots folder in Settings, TipsLog deletes a screenshot after its data is saved — only a file whose name and content are identical to the image you shared, including screenshots shared from the gallery. Without that access, or when no identical file is found, Android asks for your confirmation before any deletion. You can remove the folder access in Settings.
Internet. TipsLog has no server of its own. The Google ML Kit component may send anonymous performance metrics to Google; it does not send your images or the text read from them.
The Google Play edition does not request location.
TipsLog can check Google Play for updates and offer to download them while you keep using the app. Google Play uses device metadata, the app version and information about installed app modules to determine availability and download size. Customer details, screenshots and tips are not sent for these checks. You choose whether to update and when to restart to finish installing.
You can turn on a daily backup to a folder you choose (Google Drive, Nextcloud, local storage…). TipsLog only writes the files there; the provider stores and syncs them under its own terms. Android's automatic app backup is also enabled, so your device may include TipsLog's data in the device backup tied to your Google account, according to your phone's settings.
Settings → Report a problem prepares a message with your description, the app version, your device model and the capture log — the raw text the app read, which can include customer names, addresses and order numbers. The app warns you first and lets you choose how much of the log to include. The log goes in an encrypted file that only the TipsLog developer can open; you hand it to your e-mail or sharing app, or save it to a folder you choose. Nothing is sent automatically. You can clear the log at any time.
TipsLog does not sell, rent or share your data and contains no analytics or advertising SDKs. You can delete customers and orders inside the app, clear the capture log, and remove everything by uninstalling. Backups in your own folders are yours to delete.
TipsLog is intended for adults who work with delivery platforms and is not directed to children. It is an independent app, not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to Shipt. Changes to this policy will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
