Like stated above, this method only works if your phone is set to back up & sync periodically. If you haven’t already done this, it’s generally advised you do as losing or destroying your phone can lead to your memories being lost forever.

If you do happen to still be rocking an SD card in your phone, you might still be able to recover your photos using specialized software. There is no guarantee with this method, however. From the technical side of things, your SD generally keeps deleted files until they are overwritten by new data. This means you should remove your SD card as soon as you realize you have deleted your photos to avoid them being replaced with new data.
You’ll then need to make use of some specialized software like easeUS Data Recovery tool. After removing your SD card, connect it to your PC using a card reader or your computers SD slot. Launching easeUS will prompt you with the option to scan your card for files that can potentially be recovered.
Needless to say, this method will not work if your phone doesn’t have an SD card. Contrary to claims from certain app companies, there is currently no way to scan your phone's memory for deleted files. Disk Digger is free for photo and video recovery but may require payment if you’re looking to recover other files from your rooted Android device.
After downloading, start the app and grant the root permissions when you’re prompted to do so. Use you “Full Scan” option to scan every crevice on your Android for the deleted photos. Because you’re scanning your entire phone's storage, it might take you a while to find what you’re looking for. When you do find them buried underneath the rubble eventually, go ahead and press the photos and select “Recover”.
You’re then given the choice of where you want to save your photos back onto your device. Choose wisely so you don’t end up deleting them all over again. And it’s as easy as that. This isn’t a 100% foolproof method either, as some of your photos may be corrupted by the time you get to them, but it sure is worth a try if you’re flexing a rooted phone.
We should probably mention that if you try to root your phone after you have deleted your photos, it will most likely require you to completely wipe your phone's memory. This naturally defeats the purpose of what you’re trying to do and further increases the likelihood of losing them forever.
Hopefully, you’ve come to realize you may need to take further measures to make sure you never lose another photo again due to negligence. There are plenty of options to make sure this will never happen. Let’s explore some.
