Tip-Easy is a simple tip and bill-split calculator. This policy explains, in plain terms, exactly what the app does and does not do with your information.
Tip-Easy has no accounts, no sign-up, and no backend server. The bill amount, tip percentage, and split count you enter stay on your device and are never transmitted anywhere, stored anywhere, or seen by us. We don't know who you are, and there's nothing in the app to make an account with in the first place.
The only outside services Tip-Easy uses are for showing ads and processing the optional one-time "Remove Ads" purchase, both described below.
● No name, email address, or phone number
● No accounts or sign-in of any kind
● No location data or location permission of any kind
● Your bill amount, tip percentage, and split count are never saved, logged, or sent anywhere — they exist only in the app's memory while you're using it, and disappear when you close the app
● No usage analytics or tracking SDK of our own
To choose a sensible starting tip percentage, Tip-Easy reads your iPhone’s own Region setting (Settings → General → Language & Region). This happens entirely on your device — no permission prompt is shown, no location is used, and nothing is sent to us or anyone else. It’s used once, only to pick a starting point on the tip slider; you can move the slider to any percentage regardless.
Tip-Easy shows a small banner ad, provided by Google AdMob, to support the app being free. Google’s SDK may collect device and app-usage information (such as a device advertising identifier, IP address, and general device information) to serve and measure ads, per Google’s own Privacy Policy (policies.google.com/privacy) and "How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services" (policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites).
Tip-Easy does not request permission to track you across other companies’ apps or websites (no App Tracking Transparency prompt is shown), so ads are shown on a non-personalized, contextual basis rather than through cross-app tracking.
If you purchase "Remove Ads" (below), all ads are removed immediately and Google’s ad SDK stops loading anything at all.
Tip-Easy offers a one-time $1.99 purchase to remove ads. This purchase is handled entirely by Apple’s App Store — Tip-Easy never sees or stores your payment information (card number, billing address, etc.).
To remember that you’ve purchased "Remove Ads" (so ads stay off if you reinstall the app or get a new device), Tip-Easy uses RevenueCat, a subscription/purchase-management service. RevenueCat is given an anonymous, randomly-generated identifier for your device — never your name, email, or any personal information — along with your purchase receipt, so it can confirm your entitlement. See RevenueCat’s Privacy Policy (revenuecat.com/privacy) for how they handle this.
Tip-Easy checks Expo’s update servers (the platform Tip-Easy is built on) for app updates on launch. This exchange includes basic technical information (like your app version and device platform) needed to determine whether an update is available — no personal information is included.
Tip-Easy is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect any information from children.
If this policy changes, we’ll update the "Last updated" date above. Since Tip-Easy has no accounts or contact information on file for users, we can’t email you about changes — check back here periodically.
