After sandblasting Ive applied a phosphoric acid this neutralizes any further flash rusting it leaves a film of phosphate salt which stops flash rusting for a few week as long as its not kept outside in the rain.

The epoxy coat is non porous as I'm a weekend car restorer this is great because the metal is now sealed and its easy to remove if welding is required.
