Our name Tinkers Mash comes from two words. Tinkers are vagabonds or wanderers and Mash is what beer and whiskey is before it's finished.

The mash can also mean a mix of different things. In this case it's a mix between old time music, country and Bluegrass.

Tinkers Mash~   Something’s Brewing

There is something familiar, yet distinctively different as you begin to listen to Tinkers Mash. Here tells the tale of the evolution of this talented journeyman artist, Greg Jones.  Greg has meandered the path of life via traditional folk tunes, chamber music, Classic / Celtic Rock, jazz fusion and the blues.  It’s no wonder as of late the wandering bard has happened upon bluegrass roots music in the manifestation of his repertoire of Americana tunes.

Tinkers Mash captures the nature of the bluegrass genre, though many of the other influences remain present in their music. These notes beckon you to make time to listen and find out  what Greg Jones & company are up to now.  Dates for house concerts, and private shows and bookings may be found here; https://www.facebook.com/tinkersmashbluegrass

The name, Tinkers Mash pays homage to gypsy troubadours, and the origins of a good brew. You are all invited to sample the brew.
