This simple circuit uses the basic electronics concepts learned here to create an led candle.
Extension idea:
Integrate a potentiometer to the design so that the candle becomes dimmable.
Integrate a light dependant resistor into the circuit so that the lights turn off in the daylight.
This projects integrates shop fabrication skills with electrical assembly skills as well as a 555 timer circuit to make a walking robot.
Extension idea:
Design and 3D Print custom legs for the robot.
In this project students create a wooden arch style plant holder that can then be wired to have leds illuminate the plant.
Extension idea:
Integrate a light dependant resistor into the circuit so that the lights turn off in the daylight.
Integrate a 555 timer circuit in to the leds so that the plant gets light in 12 hour intervals.
