About Me

Welcome to my site! My name is Ting Gong. I am a fifth-year Ph.D. student in mathematics at the University of Washington, advised by Max Lieblich. I am currently on the academic job market in Fall 2026.

My research is in algebraic geometry, especially Brauer groups, moduli spaces and stacks, twisted sheaves, period-index problems, rationality questions, derived categories, and algebraic K-theory. I am particularly interested in moduli of twisted vector bundles, Torelli-type problems, and birational and motivic invariants.

I also work on AI-assisted mathematical research, machine learning, group theory, and cryptography.
