Ting Cao

Hello, I am a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Department of Economics at the University of Florida. I earned my Ph.D. in Food and Resource Economics from the University of Florida in 2024.

I currently teach undergraduate courses in Microeconomic Theory and Industrial Organization, including Managerial Economics and Economics of Competitive Strategy.

My primary research agenda examines how the opioid crisis, a major public health challenge, reshapes agricultural and rural economies in the United States. Other ongoing research projects focus on consumer preferences and behavior in the artificial and natural sweeteners market. My research employs both surveys and experimental methods to investigate consumers' decision-making processes regarding food and agricultural products.
