I am Ting-Yao Yan (Ethan), an Assistant Professor in the Department of Economics at National Chung Cheng University (國立中正大學). My research lies at the intersection of macroeconomics and financial economics, with a focus on how credit markets and firm heterogeneity shape the transmission of aggregate shocks. My current work examines the effect of bank competition on the reallocation of credit across firms.
I received my Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Kentucky in 2026. Prior to my doctoral studies, I earned an M.S. in Economics from Tufts University in 2021 and a B.B.A. in Economics from National Central University (Taiwan) in 2015.
