Timothy Shannon is an American social scientist, educator, minister, dating specialist, social critic, author, serial entrepreneur, and public intellectual.

He is the Founder and President of Timothy Shannon, Inc., a private management company that reflects his mission to inform, inspire, and influence the next generation of educators, daters, leaders, creatives, and entrepreneurs to embrace change, overcome obstacles, and develop the knowledge, attitudes, and skills in order to move to the next level in their personal and professional lives.

Highly respected in both the spiritual and secular communities, Timothy Shannon has become distinguished, both professionally and academically.

For over two decades, he has made an indelible impact on both the private and public sectors and is recognized as a leading expert on social sciences education, strategic organizational leadership, dating and relationships, financial literacy, and business formation and funding.

Academically, Timothy holds a Bachelor of Arts degree (with honors) in Political Science/Pre-Law Studies from Fisk University in Nashville, Tennessee, and a Master of Science degree in Education (magna cum laude) with a specialization in Secondary Social Sciences Education and Curriculum from Nova Southeastern University.

As a steward of ideas, strategies, and solutions, annually Timothy Shannon hosts a number of panels, workshops, seminars, lectures, and social networking events that confront and address critical issues affecting the community, educational and faith-based organizations; urban youth, young professionals, relationships and intimacy, and singles.
