Instructional Technology Specialist

Tim Leister currently serves as an Instructional Technology Specialist at Lancaster-Lebanon IU13 where he manages the Instructional Media Services (IMS) program and provides instructional technology support for all educators within IU13 school districts. Tim also works closely with the IU13 Lancaster-Lebanon Virtual Solutions (LLVS) program that supports high-quality online education for local school districts and their students. Prior to IU13, he was the Instructional Technology Coordinator at the Eastern Lancaster County School District in New Holland, Pennsylvania. Before being elevated to the coordinator role, he was the instructional technology coach for Garden Spot Middle and High School in the ELANCO School District. Utilizing his 10+ years of high school science classroom teaching experience, Tim has worked closely with teachers and students on instructional methods to integrate technologies to enhance the approach of personalized learning.
He has a Master's Degree in Instructional Systems and Technology Integration and a certificate in eLearning from Penn State University. Tim has facilitated various face-to-face, blended and virtual professional development sessions. He has served on several different educational conference committees, such as the Pennsylvania Educational Technology Expo and Conference (PETE&C), the IU13 Elementary and Secondary Technology Conference, the LanCo Learning Summit, and EdCamp Lancaster. He was also an integral member of the ELANCO School District's leadership team that implemented their 1:1 student computer program, the PA Hybrid Learning Institute initiative, the move towards a mass customized educational program, and the district's virtual online academy, ElancOnline.
Tim has presented conference sessions at the International ISTE Conference in Philadelphia, PA, the PASA-PSBA Conference, the Digital Learning Annual Conference (DLAC), the Pennsylvania Educational Technology Expo & Conference (PETE&C), the IU13 Elementary and Secondary Technology Conferences, the CAOLACon Online Learning Conference, along with others.
