CampStamp software is a workaround for the Camp Snap date/time problem. The outcome, if you follow the work flow, is that you end up with the file properties of Date Created and Date Modified on your photos set to the actual date/time taken. In addition you can optionally set -
1. the photo file names to be prefixed with the actual date/time
e.g. SUNP0010.JPG -> 2024-05-20+1205 SUNP0010.JPG
2. the Date Taken to the actual date/time taken (in conjunction with an external EXIF editor).
This hopefully will give you sufficient meta-data to manage your Camp Snap photos.
Open CampStamp Photos Folder
Opens the Photos Folder on your PC where CampStamp copies the photos from the Camp Snap.
Clear Camp Snap Tool
Deletes all photos on the Camp Snap.
Copy without Processing Tool
Copies photos from the Camp Snap without any date/time processing.
Copy a Filter to Camp Snap Tool
Copies the files that make up a filter, in the requisite order, from your computer to the Camp Snap for installation.
Jump to external EXIF editors download section (opens new window)
Just to be safe make sure you virus check the download.
CampStamp is an small stand alone MS Windows program which works "straight out of the box" with no installation necessary.
Read the program Help before you use CampStamp. It is a short read.
Known problem with the Help file (chm) caused by downloading -
Problem: The right pane where the text must be rendered is white blank.
Solution: After downloading, right-click the chm file, select properties, then click “Unblock”.
Be aware CampStamp reads and writes to the Camp Snap memory card.
CampStamp is free. I developed this for my own use but I am making it available to anyone who might find it useful. However understand you use it at your own risk.
CampStamp reads and writes to the Camp Snap memory card. If this concerns you, it’s not for you.
I have only been able to test CampStamp on my Windows 10 computer. People have reported it works on Windows 11. However I cannot guarantee in any way that it will work on your computer or work as intended.
(An EXIF Editor is needed by CampStamp if you want to optionally change the Date Taken property)
