The California Science Test (CAST) is an online assessment based on the California Next Generation Science Standards (CA NGSS) . All local educational agencies (LEAs) with eligible students in grades five and eight and in high school (grade ten, eleven, or twelve) administer the CAST. Every device used for testing must have the secure browser installed. Stable, high-speed Internet is required.

The CAST assessments for grade eight and high school include a periodic table of the elements and a reference sheet of formulas that students may access during online testing as universal tools. The reference sheet provides all formulas that a student may need to use in responding to a test item; however, this does not imply that the student will receive a specific item type. The purposes of these reference tools are to signal that students do not need to memorize formula sheets and to ensure that students have equal access to the tools during testing. These reference tools are not meant to guide instruction.

Hyperfractionated radiotherapy refers to the use of a lower daily dose of radiation (less than 180 cGy per day), a greater number of fractions and multiple fractions delivered per day to deliver a total dose at least equivalent to external beam daily conventionally fractionated radiotherapy (beam of radiation directed from outside the body), in the same time frame. The aim with this approach is to reduce the potential for late toxicity, which is a side affect occurring more than 3 month after treatment is completed.

Accelerated radiotherapy (dose escalation) refers to the delivery of multiple fractions per day using daily doses of radiation consistent with external beam daily conventionally fractionated radiotherapy doses. The aim is to reduce the overall treatment time; typically, two or three fractions per day may be delivered with a six to eight hour gap between fractions.

The aim of hypofractionated radiation is to shorten overall treatment time, reducing the number of radiation treatment visits and hence radiation machine time and patient inconvenience. The aim of hyperfractionation is to potentially reduce late radiation toxicity by reducing the dose per fraction while still maintaining the intended tumour treatment dose. The aim of accelerated radiation is to reduce the overall treatment time by administering multiple radiation treatments per day. This regimen impedes the repopulation of rapidly growing tumour cells and theoretically improves tumour control. The focus of this Cochrane systematic review is to examine the benefits and harms of external beam radiation dose escalation for HGG.

The use of accelerated radiotherapy is inconvenient and requires significant radiation machine time. Toxicity attributable to radiation was similar between the accelerated and conventional radiation arms in the Prados 2001 trial.

To query a Cloud Storage external table, you must have permissionson both the external table and the Cloud Storage files. We recommendusing a BigLake table instead ifpossible. BigLake tables provide access delegation, so thatyou only need permissions on the BigLake table in order to querythe Cloud Storage data.

You can create a permanent external table by running theCREATE EXTERNAL TABLE DDL statement. You can specify the schema explicitly, or useschema auto-detection to infer the schemafrom the external data.

You can create an external table for Hive partitioned data that resides inCloud Storage. After you create an externally partitioned table, youcan't change the partition key. You need to recreate the table to change thepartition key.

The following example creates an externally partitioned table. It uses schemaauto-detection to detect both the file schema and the hive partitioninglayout. If the external path isgs://bucket/path/field_1=first/field_2=1/data.parquet, the partition columnsare detected as field_1 (STRING) and field_2 (INT64).

The following example creates an externally partitioned table by explicitlyspecifying the partition columns. This example assumes that the external filepath has the pattern gs://bucket/path/field_1=first/field_2=1/data.parquet.

You can upgrade tables based on Cloud Storage to BigLaketables by associating the external table to a connection. If you want to usemetadata cachingwith the BigLake table, you can specify settings for this atthe same time. To get table details such as source format and source URI, seeGet table information.

You can't change this when updating the table. BUCKET_PATH: the path to the Cloud Storage bucket that contains the data for the external table, in the format ['gs://bucket_name/[folder_name/]file_name']. You can select multiple files from the bucket by specifying one asterisk (*) wildcard character in the path. For example, ['gs://mybucket/file_name*']. For more information, see Wildcard support for Cloud Storage URIs.

After you create or modify a table, you should save its design. When you save a table for the first time, give it a name that describes the data that it contains. You can use up to 64 alphanumeric characters, including spaces. For example, you might name a table Customers, Parts Inventory, or Products.

Sometimes, you might already have data that you want to use as a primary key. For example, you may have existing ID numbers for your employees. If you create a table to track employee information, you might decide to use the existing employee ID as the primary key for the table. Or, perhaps employee ID is only unique in combination with department ID, requiring that you use both fields together as the primary key. A good candidate for the primary key has the following characteristics:

An Academic Timetable provides a listing of classes scheduled for each academic session. Please note that scheduling changes may happen and Academic Timetables are subject to change. Western does not support external timetabling services as these providers may not have up-to-date or accurate information.

To ensure equitable access for Grade 1 to Grade 9 students, a minimum number of instructional hours is specified. The organization of schools at these grade levels is the responsibility of the school authority.

In planning for instruction in the elementary grades, the following percentage of time allocations for the school year are recommended for required and optional subject areas. Individual students may require varying times to meet the learning outcomes in each subject area.

GW-006 (VMO) Issued on February 12, 2009 for Veterinary Medical Officer positions at the GS-11 through GS-15 grade levels (or equivalent) nationwide to include overseas territories and commonwealths including Puerto Rico, Guam, and Virgin Islands, may be used indefinitely or until OPM terminates this authority. This authority is based on a severe shortage of candidates. In accordance with 5 CFR 337.206(c)(external link), OPM may request information from agencies on their use and implementation of this direct-hire authority. On a periodic basis OPM will determine if continued use is supportable. The legal authority code for SF-50 item 5-E is "BAG."

Eligible employees under appointment without time limit in the Department of Defense Nonappropriated Fund Instrumentalities (NAFI) system may include flexible employees, who work the equivalent of a part-time, intermittent, or on-call schedule. To determine their creditable service, apply the rules in 5 CFR 315.201(b)(4)(external link)

Persons appointed under these agreements are not subject to probation under 5 CFR Part 315, Subpart H(external link), but acquire civil service status on appointment. Appointees are subject to the supervisory or managerial probationary period in 5 CFR Part 315, Subpart I(external link), but appropriate service in the other merit system may be considered in determining the applicability of the probationary period and creditable service toward completion of probation.

A. Yes! Should a student status drop from full-time to part-time, because of granted exemptions, they are encouraged to meet with their Program Coordinator or Student Success Specialist to select other courses (if possible) to add to their timetable. A change in status may affect funding from OSAP.

Otitis externa is an inflammatory process of the external auditory canal. In one recent study,1 otitis externa was found to be disabling enough to cause 36 percent of patients to interrupt their daily activities for a median duration of four days, with 21 percent requiring bed rest. It is typically a localized process that can be easily controlled with topical agents, yet physicians use systemic medications to treat this condition 65 percent of the time.2 If otitis externa is not optimally treated, especially in immunocompromised patients, the potentially life-threatening infection can spread to the surrounding tissues.

Treatment recommendations vary somewhat, but it is most commonly recommended that drops be given for three days beyond the cessation of symptoms (typically five to seven days); however, in patients with more severe infections, 10 to 14 days of treatment may be required. There is no need for reevaluation unless the infection is not resolving.15 Usually, three to four drops are placed in the affected ear four times daily; fluoroquinolone agents, however, are applied twice daily.17,19,20 Warming the bottle of drops in the hands before instillation minimizes dizziness. A small cotton plug moistened with the drops can be used to help retain the drops in the ear if the patient cannot lie still long enough to allow absorption. Absorption may also be facilitated by manipulating the tragus to help distribute the drops throughout the external auditory canal. 006ab0faaa
