The Time Horizon app ("app", "we") is developed by Star Dust Apps. This Privacy Policy explains what data the app accesses, how it is used, and your rights. By using Time Horizon, you agree to the practices described below.
Time Horizon does not operate its own servers. Your data stays on your device or is sent directly to Google services tied to your own account (Google Drive, Google Calendar, Google Places) and to Google AdMob (ads). We, the developers, do not collect or store your personal data on external servers.
Data the app accesses
- Google account (email and name): when you sign in with your Google account, we store your email and display name locally on your device to authenticate access to Google Calendar and Google Drive.
- Events and countdowns you create: titles, dates, locations and attachments you add are stored locally on your device. Optionally, you can back them up to your own Google Drive.
- Approximate location: if you grant permission, we use your approximate location only to improve place search (autocomplete via Google Places) when adding a location to an event. We do not store your location.
- Google Calendar (read-only): if authorized, we read your calendar events so you can import them as countdowns.
- Google Drive: with your authorization, the app creates backups of your events and lets you attach files from your own Drive. Access happens directly between your device and your Google account.
- Photos/images: if you choose to attach an image to an event, the app accesses the image you select.
2. Ads (Google AdMob)
Time Horizon shows ads through Google AdMob. AdMob may collect and process device identifiers (including the advertising ID) and usage data to serve and measure ads. This data is handled by Google under Google's Privacy Policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy). You can reset or limit your advertising ID in your Android settings (Settings, Google, Ads).
3. How we use data
We use the data above only to run countdowns, notifications and reminders; to authenticate and sync with Google Calendar and Google Drive when you request it; to improve place search; and to show ads (via AdMob). We do not sell your personal data.
4. Data sharing
We do not share your personal data with third parties, except: Google AdMob, to display ads (device identifiers / advertising ID); and Google services (Drive, Calendar, Places) that you authorize and that operate under your own Google account.
5. Security
Communications with Google services use encrypted connections (HTTPS). Your event data is stored locally on your device.
6. Data retention and deletion
Data you create stays on your device while the app is installed. Uninstalling the app removes local data.
- You can sign out of your Google account within the app at any time, which removes the credentials saved locally.
- Backups created in your Google Drive can be deleted by you, in the app or in Google Drive.

7. Children
Time Horizon is not directed to children under 18 and does not knowingly collect data from children.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The last updated date is shown at the top of this page.
