Tim Chung received his undergraduate degree in Biology from the University of California, San Diego (UCSD) in 2011 and worked on developing benzothiazole derivatives with Prof. Jerry Yang. Tim received his Ph.D. in Chemistry, specifically mechanistic and synthetic organic photochemistry, from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) in 2017 under the guidance of Prof. Miguel Garcia-Garibay. After an Alexander von Humboldt postdoctoral fellowship training in enantioselective photochemistry at the Technische Universität München (Munich, Germany) under the guidance of Prof. Thorsten Bach, he started as an Assistant Professor at the Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 2019.
