Leslie Salazar
Coaching Title: Head Wrestling Coach Timber Creek High School
Coaching Qualifications: Coach Salazar started wrestling in 2002. She began coaching in 2011. She has coached at the youth, club, middle, and high school levels, as well as on the Texas National Team. She spent 2 years as the Head Girl's Coach at The Colony and prior to that as an Assistant Coach at San Antonio Johnson for 6 years.
Occupation: Coach Salazar is the Head Coach at Timber Creek High School, where she teaches physics courses. She is a 2005 graduate of Ronald Reagan High School in San Antonio, Texas. After high school, Coach Salazar went to Trinity University where she earned her bachelor's degree in 2008.
Accomplishments / History: Coach Salazar began wrestling her freshman year of high school. She was the first female 4-year letterman in school history and was part of the inaugural girl's team. She was a 2x Texas State Qualifier. She began her wrestling coaching career in 2011 as a volunteer assistant at Johnson for their first girl's team. During her time at Johnson High School, Coach Salazar coached 5 State Placers, and the team accomplished multiple tournament championships, including district and regional titles. This will be Coach Salazar’s 5th season at Timber Creek High School.
