Worried about study, exams and what next?
1 - Have a plan. Think about what you are doing and why. Where does this lead? Is it important that it leads directly into a job or career? Do you want to go to university? Then make sure you study courses with UE. Is work or Gateway the right path? Check-in with the careers teachers and friends of the whanau that work or study in areas that interest you.
2 - Talk to whanau and teachers, they know you better than you think. www.careers.govt.nz has great ideas and tips to help you work out where you want to be and how to get there.
3 - Set some goals, put them where you can see them daily. Check-in on yourself, update your goals as needed, reward yourself when you reach your goals. SMART goals are the best.
Getting started on study can be the hardest part. Try these ideas:

Make sure you get some exercise daily, walk the dog, shoot some hoops, practice some yoga
Eat well, real food, protein, vegetables, fruit and drink plenty of water.
Worried? Tell someone, talk to a trusted friend or adult. Worried about a friend? Ask them how they are, listen-you don't need to have all the answers. Really worried? check the 'who to call' tab at the top of the website.
