I am a postdoctoral researcher at the Data Innovation and AI Lab at UC Berkeley's Haas School of Business and at the National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER). Before joining UC Berkeley, I was a Fox International Fellow at Yale University.
I study performance and its evaluation in organizations. A central focus is political heterogeneity: how political differences affect individual performance, how political similarity shapes the teams people form, and how audiences respond to work produced by politically mixed teams. A second stream examines how information and attention shape behavior and recognition. A third stream examines how people evaluate one another's performance. My work has been published in Management Science, the Strategic Management Journal, and the Journal of Behavioral and Experimental Economics, and has been covered by The Wall Street Journal and CNN, among others.
