Tim Ederer

I am a Saieh Family Postdoctoral Fellow at the Becker Friedman Institute for Economics at the University of Chicago. I will join the Tepper School of Business in Carnegie Mellon University as an Assistant Professor of Economics this Fall.

My work lies in the intersection of labor economics and econometrics. I primarily study the empirical content of two-sided matching models and show how one can use these tools to uncover the determinants of worker-firm sorting and labor market outcomes in various settings. This agenda also speaks to related topics in empirical industrial organization and education economics.
