Oesterlund, Zesole
September 6, 3871
Delegations from Oesterlund and the Commonwealth of Zesole convened this week in the Oester capital of Fürstenstadt to begin formal discussions on the proposed Fürstenstadt–Preyden Bipartite Pact (FPBP), a new military and security agreement intended to deepen bilateral cooperation between the two nations.
The proposed pact would expand upon the existing defensive agreement signed on June 27th, extending coordination beyond mutual defense into broader security and stabilization measures. According to officials present at the talks, the FPBP is designed to enhance joint responses to internal security threats and cross-border destabilization.
The initiative was introduced by Cabinet Governor Konstantin Schwertner of Oesterlund, who emphasized the shared challenges faced by both nations. Oesterlund has endured a brutal civil war in Jarulesia since February, while Zesole has dealt with persistent unrest in Satineria. Proponents of the pact argue that closer cooperation would allow both governments to more effectively regulate and stabilize affected regions.
Sources within both delegations indicate that the agreement is expected to receive approval from the respective governments in the coming weeks. If ratified, the Fürstenstadt–Preyden Bipartite Pact is projected to enter into force on September 9th.

Vestyria-Greland-Liermark, Oesterlund
September 2, 3871
After an emergency summons of the heads of military staff, Empress Hedwig II personally dispatched a small task force consisting of vessels from the decorated Lieran Expeditionary Fleet, the most elite naval fighting force in the Triple Empire.
Protestors have taken to the streets in Vestyria and Liermark after leaks of the eastbound trajectory of the mission believing that this may foreshadow an attack on Oesterlund, a nation that the Empire's liberal movement often sympathize with. However, Princess Hermine, the Empress' younger sister, dissuaded such claims by stating that the task force's mission was strictly one of observation.
The Government of Oesterlund has failed to comment.
Zenobiana
July 18, 3871
Shortly after the deadly Hurricane Alexa was reclassified as a Category four hurricane, it struck landfall on the heavily populated Zenobian city of Alexandria. After a state of emergency was established and people were encouraged to leave their homes, Alexa swallowed up the eastern shores of the city, killing more than five hundred people immediately.
Alexa first formed near Queenistakistan, before slowly expanding where it hit Faeluntz as a weak tropical storm, before rapidly growing into what is now classified as a Category four hurricane.
The hurricane later swept inward, flooding into Zenobian homes and local government buildings. The storm surge further worked on demolishing the city, as dirty seawater, which mixed with the dusty road and the ever-so stinky horse droppings on the street devastated the population. The stench was accompanyed with extremely heavy rainfall. Three thousand people were sent to their graves as the strong waters resisted the large walls which were built to resist such a catastrophic event. Thankfully, due to previous warnings and instructions, many civilians were able to move inward and escape destruction while key economic centers were flooded. Hurricane Alexa has gone down in history as one of the most deadly hurricanes in Alaria, with an estimated death toll reaching eight thousand people.
Humanitarian efforts to begin reconstruction of Alexandria began almost immediately after Alexis calmed down two days later. The Zenobian Imperial Guard has prepared for a crisis such as this, and is now being received larger economic funding to rebuild the shores of Alexandria.
Zenobiana's allies have assisted in the effort as well. The Cabinet Governor of Oesterlund has worked to expand foriegn aid to hopefully send a relief force to provide food and shelter to those most impacted. Additionally, a worldwide force tasked with supplying aid has been sent to the near-by Zenobian city of Samosata to set up refuge camps for those still residing in the destroyed city.
Strengland, Vestyria-Greland-Liermark
April 24, 3871
The Vestyrian Triple-Empire has mobilized naval and expeditionary forces in Strengland following the recent military coup, citing its longstanding legal ownership over Strengian ports, maritime authorities, and fishing infrastructure.
Empress Hedwig II reaffirmed Vestyria’s claims over Strengian maritime assets, stating that the Triple Empire would not submit to measures imposed by what it considers an as-yet unrecognized Strengian regime. Acting on imperial orders, the Second Expeditionary Force was dispatched to reinforce the Vestyrian garrison already present in the country. The force includes a small combat fleet, military airships and aircraft, and mechanized marine and army units, though it remains smaller than the First Expeditionary Force recently deployed in Südria.
Much of the existing garrison presence is provided by the Lieran Royal Navy, one of the world’s largest fleets, which operates independently of the broader Tri-Imperial Navy despite Liermark’s continued constitutional obligations to the empire. Following the coup, Vestyrian-aligned naval units established blockades at Strengian ports, suspending all maritime activity until the intentions of the Strengian Free Officers could be clarified. Several port authority buildings were also declared equivalent to Vestyrian territory, with Imperial officials warning that any hostile action against them would be treated as an act of war.
In response, the Strengian Free Officers stated they had no intention of attacking Vestyrian interests and expressed willingness to negotiate, including the potential sale of coastal land, in exchange for stabilization assistance and diplomatic recognition. However, they criticized Vestyria’s unilateral declaration of territorial sovereignty over Strengian land as excessive.
Tensions eased somewhat with the arrival of Liergrave Karl von Altmark, cousin to the Empress and newly appointed ambassador to Strengland. Von Altmark welcomed the Free Officers’ assurances, praised their stated commitment to peace, and issued a formal apology for the sovereignty declaration. He has since proposed direct talks aimed at stabilizing Strengland and redefining bilateral relations. Imperial economic analysts have also begun exploring investment frameworks that could expand Vestyria’s influence while providing long-term benefits to the Strengian economy.
Lyriandre
April 10, 3871
The Council of the Supreme Assembly of Lyriandre introduced a proposed legislative agenda which promised a new emphasis on economic reform, following the release of the first annual report by Chairman Thomas Mitford. The initiative suggests a surprising emphasis toward economic affairs after what council officials described as a “careful deliberation of Lyriandrean priorities.”
According to statements from senior members of the Council, the ruling Lyriandrean Democratic Party (LDP) intends to adopt the agenda unanimously within its conference. LDP councilors argue that the long-standing economic stalemate under previous administrations demonstrates the need for a reorientation of policy toward growth, investment, and fiscal restructuring. However, opposition figures from the Lyriandrean Socialist Party (LSP) have criticized the move deeply, accusing the Council of abandoning social welfare concerns. In a public response, LSP representatives claimed the new agenda reflects a governing body that “cares more about charts than people,” warning that social protections may be eroded in favor of market-oriented reforms.
LDP officials have rejected those accusations. Speaking ahead of the Council’s session, Councilor Monet Weston, a prominent LDP member, framed the agenda as a corrective to historical shortcomings rather than a retreat from public responsibility. Weston argued that Lyriandre has consistently struggled in economic governance and must now adapt to ensure long-term stability and prosperity.
Members of the former administration countered that the proposed agenda risks transforming Lyriandre into what they described as a “capitalist paradise,” alleging that public interests would be sidelined in favor of economic indicators. These claims were swiftly dismissed by the LDP leadership as politically motivated and misleading.
Responding to the criticism, William Sinclair, LDP Delegate for Economic Affairs, accused the opposition of attempting to destabilize the country’s political environment. He emphasized the LDP’s current 7–5 majority in the Council, suggesting that the agenda reflects both electoral legitimacy and institutional confidence.
