TILO Firehose Project

Teachers: You are being inundated with technology tools and resources; it’s almost like you’re trying to drink from a firehose!

The Technology Integration Leaders of Ohio (TILO) want to help! This online tool showcases resources that provide continued connection, compassion, and learning to our most precious asset: our children.

The Firehose Project provides high quality, vetted resources curated by content area experts. It is created BY TEACHERS FOR TEACHERS.

The best part about this tool is that we have limited it to just the “top 10” resources per collection.

TILO History

TILO (Technology Integration Leaders of Ohio) originally started in the spring of 2015 with a piece of paper, a link to a Google Form, and a suggestion to “sign up if you’re a technology integration specialist or coach for your Ohio school or district.” Since then, we have grown to over 300 professionals who primarily provide edtech training and professional development/professional learning for schools across Ohio, thereby supporting thousands of students.

The original state-wide TILO group has evolved into:

  • Four, smaller, regional sub-groups spread across Ohio (NW, NC, NE, and SW) who meet F2F several times a year, beginning with the first regional group, SWTILO, who started in 2016, plus...
  • A state-wide network of educators connected via social media and an email listserv hosted by INFOhio

A special thanks to the early contributing volunteers, who helped get this group of hundreds of talented Ohio educators connected, communicating, and sharing their experiences of working to improve student success:

  • Eric Curts
  • Andreas Johannson
  • Kristie Hughes
  • Dr. Amy Hollingsworth
  • Jen Bengele
  • Kathy Aurigemma
  • Rebecca Rosecrans
  • Heather Smith
  • Charles Schmiesing, INFOhio
  • Stephanie Donofe Meeks, ODE

We look forward to helping more edtech educators get connected and share their learning and experiences so we all can continue to improve our practices and help our colleagues and students be the best they can be!
