Cours Florent was created in 1967, and quickly became one of the most renowned acting schools in France. Students are trained with a variety of methods giving them the skills to be adaptable to diverse theatre and film environments. Over the past few years, Cours Florent has been expanding to several countries. In 2019, it opened its doors in Berlin, giving the chance to both German and International students to receive an Acting B.A. accredited by Macromedia University of Applied Sciences.
Born in Düsseldorf in 1982, Laina studied acting at the Film University in Potsdam Babelsberg. Engagements have taken her to the Düsseldorfer Schauspielhaus, to Bremerhaven, Bremen, Chemnitz, to the Nibelungen Festival in Worms, to the Munich Volkstheater, Staatstheater Stuttgart, HAU Berlin, Komödie am Kurfürstendamm and from 2012 to 2017 to the Staatsschauspiel Dresden. She worked with Pınar Karabulut, Joanna Praml, Robert Lehniger, Nuran David Calis, Adrian Figueroa and Martin Woellfer a.o. She has been working as a freelancer for film, television and theater since 2017. Most recently, Laina stood in front of the camera for the crime series MARIE BRAND, the Cologne TATORT and the crime series DER STAATSANWALT. In addition, since 2019 she has been teaching stage acting at the Film University in Potsdam and at Cours Florent Berlin. In October 2021 she returned to the Staatsschauspiel Dresden as a guest in Die Laborantin directed by Adrian Figeroa.
Hailing from Southern California, Andrew is a choreographer, dancer, and researcher. His interests lie at the crossroads of philosophy, cognitive science, and improvised dance. Looking to dissolve the boundaries between academic research and performance, he juxtaposes corporeal and cognitive practices to discover their theoretical commonalities. Teaching and performance opportunities have taken him to universities, festivals, and theaters in Europe, the United States and Asia. Wass has performed in work by Nancy Stark Smith, Mary Overlie, Jess Curtis, Nina Martin, and Scott Wells, among others. A member of Lower Left and a graduate of the SoDA program at the HZT in Berlin, Andrew is pursuing a PhD in Dance at Texas Woman’s University.

Originally from Romania, Bianca's journey's to acting was a bit of a roller coaster. Before she started her B.A. at Cours Florent Berlin, she studied Law for five years. Nevertheless, she couldn't be happier that she had the courage to follow her creative intuition. Bianca is passionate about theatre and film equally - however, psychological dramas are her soft spot.
After graduating highschool in 2019, Carla started auditioning for acting programs and was accepted at Cours Florent Berlin. However, she decided to wait a year before starting to study, so she could join the International B.A. She grew up in a creative family and developed an artistic interest from an early age. Carla is passionate about films but loves the electric feeling of adrenaline she gets when on stage.
Jasmina was born and raised in a nice little town in Bavaria. On stage, she is the perfect combination of cute and fierce. Shy at first but a rebel at heart, Jasmina inhabits dance moves and makes audiences laugh like no other- without even trying. While she likes theatre, her heart belongs to film; and as her teacher once said: "She is made for the camera!".
Julie discovered her love for acting through voice work - imitations, creations and singing. This led her to the doors of Cours Florent Brussels for a year before switching to the International Class in Berlin. Passionate about psychology, acting allows Julie to dive deeper into understanding humans and what drives them.
Miranda has traveled the world from a very young age - this enabled her to adapt to any given situation and empathize with various cultures. From living in a tiny village in Nicaragua to a big city like Paris, she has discovered the importance of stories and creativity through working in diverse communities. This translated in her acting work, as she is always looking for ways to depict marginalized topics, specifically advocating for environmental rights.
Niklas was born in Sri Lanka but raised in Denmark. He started acting in small theatre productions when he was 6 years old and fell in love with the craft of storytelling. Ever since, he has been honing his skills by going to different schools, taking classes, and participating in different projects, both on stage and in front of the camera. Throughout his life, Niklas did various sports, but in the last couple of years dived into the practice of yoga.
Coming from a small town in Finland all the way to Berlin was a big change for Tuukka. He has vast experience of performing in theater, combined with a background in martial arts. Besides his studies in Berlin, Tuukka has kept himself busy by playing Australian football and singing in the Icelandic Choir Berlin. He loves theater, film, and long walks in the forest.
Ever since she was little, Vanessa loved telling stories, singing and putting on funny voices. Here she is, unable to cage the artist within her any longer! Kind-hearted and always willing to help others, Vanessa dreams of using acting as a tool to support social causes, particularly people's mental health.
