Welcome to Tile Master. This document outlines the rules for using our application ("Terms of Service") and explains how we handle your data ("Privacy Policy"). By downloading and using the Tile Master app, you agree to these terms.
1. "As Is" Software (No Warranty)
Tile Master is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. The developers and owners make no warranties, expressed or implied, regarding the accuracy, reliability, or completeness of the software. We continuously work to improve the app, but by using this application, you acknowledge and accept that errors, inaccuracies, and bugs may occur.
2. Accuracy of Calculations
Tile Master acts STRICTLY as a supplementary digital estimating tool. The calculations for tile quantities, layouts, thinset, cement board, grout, trim, and labor costs are based on mathematical formulas and user input. The app CANNOT account for real-world variables such as out-of-plumb walls, uneven floors, varying grout joint sizes, broken materials in transit, or human error during installation.
YOU MUST PHYSICALLY VERIFY all measurements, layouts, and material estimates before purchasing materials, making physical cuts, or submitting binding estimates/invoices to a client.
3. Limitation of Liability
UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES shall the developers, owners, or affiliates of Tile Master be held liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. This includes, but is not limited to: financial losses, material shortages, material overages, property damage, client disputes, or wasted labor hours arising from the use of this application. The user assumes full professional and financial responsibility for their work.
4. Tax and Mileage Logs
Tile Master provides background mileage and time tracking for your personal convenience. You are solely responsible for ensuring that your mileage and expense logs meet the requirements of the IRS or your local tax authority. The app developers are not responsible for any tax audit issues or discrepancies.
1. Information We Collect and Why
To provide you with professional tracking and estimation tools, Tile Master requires access to certain device features:
Location Data (Background Tracking): If you enable "Auto Tracking" in the app settings, Tile Master collects location data in the background (even when the app is closed). This is used exclusively to automatically log your business trip mileage and to clock you in/out of project job sites (geofencing) for your personal timesheets. We do not track you for advertising purposes. You have full control and can disable this tracking at any time in the app's Global Settings.
Camera and Photos: We request Camera access so you can take photos of project receipts and job sites. We request Photo Library access to provide the "Smart Lens" feature, which locally scans your photos to find images taken at specific job site coordinates. Your photos are processed locally on your device and are not uploaded to our servers.
Microphone and Speech Recognition: We request microphone access to allow you to use hands-free voice commands while laying tiles. Audio is processed by your device's native speech recognition engine.
Account Information: When you sign in using Google or Apple, we collect your email address and display name to create your account, secure your data, and allow you to sync projects across devices or share them with your team members.
2. Data Sharing and Security
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal or business data to third parties. Your project data, estimates, and logs are stored securely in cloud databases (Firebase) solely for the purpose of syncing your data across your devices and with team members you explicitly invite.
3. Data Retention and Account Deletion
You maintain full control over your data. You can delete individual projects, timesheets, and trip logs at any time within the app.
If you wish to completely delete your account and all associated cloud data, you can do so directly within the app by navigating to Menu -> Profile -> Delete Account. This action is irreversible and immediately purges your profile and associated cloud records from our active databases.
4. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page.
