Stardomsolution developer ("we," "our," or "us") operates the TiK Tik Video Player (the "App"). This Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use our App. By using our app, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.
We collect the following types of information to provide and improve the App's functionality:
Collected Data: The App allows you to view media. All media related data, including file name, file path, type, metadata, and other related details, are stored locally on your device and not shared with third parties.
App Usage Data: We may collect anonymized app usage data, such as which features are used and how often, to improve the App. This data is collected through third-party services like Firebase Analytics and does not personally identify you.
Device Information: We may collect information about the device you use to access the App, such as hardware model, operating system version, and unique device identifiers. This data helps improve the performance and compatibility of the App.
All data related to The App is stored locally on your device. We do not upload or store this data on external servers. Any analytics data collected through third-party services (e.g., Firebase) is anonymized.
We employ appropriate security measures to protect your personal data, including encryption and regular security audits. However, no method of data transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure.
3. Payment Terms
In-App Purchases: No In-App Purchases have been added to the App as of now, but we may add it in future.
SDP, SSP : We use SDP("com.intuit.sdp:sdp-android"), SSP("com.intuit.ssp:ssp-android") to manage responsive and flexible user interfaces across different device ratios and sizes.
Glide : We use Glide("com.github.bumptech.glide:glide") to display any images/media within the App efficiently.
Glide (annotation processor) : The dependency annotationProcessor 'com.github.bumptech.glide:compiler:4.15.1' is used in Android development to integrate Glide, which is a popular image loading and caching library.
Karumi dexter : The dependency implementation 'com.karumi:dexter:6.2.3' is for the Dexter library, which is used in Android development to handle runtime permissions in a more user-friendly way.
ExoPlayer : The dependency 'com.google.android.exoplayer:exoplayer:2.18.7' is used to integrate ExoPlayer, a powerful media player library developed by Google, into your Android app. ExoPlayer is primarily used for playing audio and video content, and it offers many features that make it more flexible and customizable compared to the standard MediaPlayer class in Android.
Facebook Shimmer : The dependency com.facebook.shimmer:shimmer:0.5.0 is used to implement the Shimmer effect in Android apps. A shimmer effect creates a subtle, animated gradient that runs across a view, making it appear as though it is "shining" or "glowing." It is commonly used as a placeholder to indicate loading content, giving users a visual cue while data is being fetched or loaded, enhancing the user experience.
Firebase Analytics : We use Firebase to collect unidentified app usage data, such as feature engagement and crash reports, to improve the App's performance. This data does not personally identify you.
HTTP Interceptor : The dependency com.squareup.okhttp3:logging-interceptor:5.0.0-alpha.7 is used in Android and Java applications to enable logging for HTTP requests and responses when using the OkHttp library.
Retrofit 2 - RXJava : The dependency implementation 'com.squareup.retrofit2:adapter-rxjava2:2.9.0' is used in Android development to integrate Retrofit with RxJava. Here's a breakdown of why you would use this:
Retrofit 2
Retrofit 2 is a type-safe HTTP client for Android and Java that simplifies the process of making network requests. It allows you to define your API endpoints and handle responses in a structured way.
RxJava
RxJava is a library for composing asynchronous and event-based programs using observable sequences. It provides a powerful way to handle asynchronous data streams and can help manage threading, which is crucial in mobile applications to ensure smooth user experiences.
Retrofit 2 : The dependency "com.squareup.retrofit2:retrofit:2.9.0" is used to include the Retrofit library in an Android or Java project. Retrofit is a type-safe HTTP client for Android and Java, which simplifies making network requests (such as API calls) to web services and handling their responses.
Converter Gson : The dependency com.squareup.retrofit2:converter-gson:2.9.0 is used to integrate Gson (Google's JSON library) with Retrofit, a popular HTTP client for Android and Java.
Airbnb Lottie : The dependency "com.airbnb.android:lottie:3.5.0" is used to integrate Lottie animations into an Android app. Lottie is a library developed by Airbnb that allows developers to easily render complex animations created in Adobe After Effects and exported as JSON files (using the Bodymovin plugin). These animations are vector-based and lightweight, allowing for smooth, high-quality visuals without consuming too many resources.
Hilt : We use Hilt (com.google.dagger) for dependency injection within the app. Hilt simplifies the process of managing dependencies by providing a standardized way to define, manage, and inject components. It ensures better scalability, testability, and maintainability by reducing the boilerplate code typically associated with dependency injection. The Hilt compiler (kapt "com.google.dagger") generates necessary code for dependency injection at compile time.
Facebook Mediation - The dependency com.google.ads.mediation:facebook:6.18.0.0 is used in a video player app with an Ads SDK to enable Facebook Audience Network (FAN) mediation via Google AdMob. It allows the app to serve Facebook ads through AdMob's mediation platform, optimizing ad revenue by integrating multiple ad networks.
String Obfuscation : We use io.michaelrocks.paranoid to secure and obfuscate strings and texts used within The App for enhanced data and code security.

Notification Access : The app may utilize the POST_NOTIFICATIONS permission to send notifications related to music playback or other relevant app updates. These notifications are solely for the purpose of enhancing your user experience within the app android.permission.POST_NOTIFICATIONS
Vibrate : The permission VIBRATE is used in Android applications to allow the app to control the device's vibration feature.
Foreground service : The permission FOREGROUND_SERVICE is used in Android applications to indicate that the app intends to use foreground services. A foreground service is a service that is given a higher priority by the system because it is performing a task that is noticeable to the user.
Storage Access : The permissions READ_MEDIA_VIDEO, READ_MEDIA_AUDIO, READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE allows the App to pick media from gallery.
Wake Lock(in SDK) : The WAKE_LOCK permission in Android is used to allow an application to prevent the phone's screen from dimming and turning off. This can be crucial for apps that require continuous user interaction or need to keep the CPU running while the device is in a low-power state.
Foreground Service Media Playback : The permission android.permission.FOREGROUND_SERVICE_MEDIA_PLAYBACK is used in Android apps to allow a foreground service to handle media playback, such as music or video. A foreground service is a service that the user is actively aware of and must show a notification, ensuring the service is not easily killed by the system even if the app is in the background.
Read phone state : The READ_PHONE_STATE permission is used in a video player with an "After Call Screen" feature to detect incoming and outgoing calls. This allows the app to pause video playback during a call and display the "After Call Screen" once the call ends, ensuring a seamless user experience.
System alert window : The SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW permission allows the video player app to display overlays or floating windows above other apps. This is useful for the "After Call Screen" feature, enabling the app to show a floating video player or UI element even when the user exits the main app, ensuring seamless interaction after a call ends.
Hardware telephony : The <uses-feature android:name="android.hardware.telephony" android:required="false" /> declaration is used in your video player app with an "After Call Screen" feature to ensure the app can detect call events without requiring telephony hardware. Setting android:required="false" allows the app to be installed on devices without telephony support, ensuring compatibility with tablets and Wi-Fi-only devices.
Schedule exact alarm : The SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM permission is used in your video player app to ensure that the reminder function triggers at an exact time, even when the device is in power-saving modes. This is crucial for the "After Call Screen" feature, as it allows setting precise reminders for users to resume their video playback or take other scheduled actions without delays caused by system optimizations.
