Venue and Accomodation
The workshop will be held in the heart of the historic Upper Town (Città Alta) of Bergamo, in the buildings of the S. Agostino campus of the University of Bergamo.
The workshop will be held in AULA 6 (Room 6).
Once you enter the building, cross the small courtyard ("chiostro minore") and reach the largest courtyard ("chiostro maggiore"). From there you will find directions to AULA 6.
To reach the venue via public transportation (also from the Orio al Serio Airport or the Bergamo railway Station), take the city bus line number 1. From the train station to Città Alta (Colle Aperto) the bus has a frequency of 15 minutes.
Parking is very difficult in Città Alta. Two option for those coming by car are:
leave the car in the stadium area and walk to the workshop venue. Be aware that also in this area the parking situation is not ideal.
leave the car in the parking lot (3 euros/hour) in via Don Bosco and then take the city bus line number 1.
For those walking to the campus keep in mind that the way to Città Alta is uphill. How steep depends on the route you choose. To avoid this an option is to take the "funicolare".
The social dinner will be at the restaurant "Il Circolino Città Alta" on September,15th at 20:00. The price will be around 35 euros per person.
