Hi, my name is Lyan! I am an 11th-grade student at SMA Pahoa in Tangerang, Banten, Indonesia. This is my first coding competition since I started attending coding lessons in KodeKiddo Gading Serpong.

In CODEAVOUR 6.0, I am competing under the senior category under the Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure theme. My CODEAVOUR 6.0 project is listed under two categories: 1) AI and ML projects and 2) Games. This is an amazing opportunity to gain more coding experience and combine it with creativity, innovation, and entrepreneurship.

Our Mentor

Ms. Novita Aryanti is my mentor in this year's CODEAVOUR 6.0! She has taught me at KodeKiddo Gading Serpong since February 2024 and has inspired me to take KodeKiddo's AI and Machine Learning course until now.

About C-Compass

C-Compass (Career Compass) is an interactive AI-powered experience designed to engage kids in exploring future careers while promoting sustainability and economic growth. By answering questions through interactive actions, kids develop a deeper understanding of how different jobs contribute to sustainability and climate action.

Through this engaging approach, they learn the impact of various professions on the environment and society. Ultimately, the game helps guide them toward potential career paths aligned with their interests, preparing them for decent work and a sustainable future.

Problem

In the digital era, children are increasingly spending time with gadgets to access content that is often less productive and has no educational value. This phenomenon raises several major problems:

1) Lack of Exposure to Future Professions

2) Lack of Awareness of Environmental Conservation

3) Imbalance between Entertainment and Learning

4) Lack of Interactive and Interesting Learning Media

Solution

To overcome these problems, a fun and interactive educational game with AI technology is needed to:

1) Introduce Various Future Professions

2) Inspire Environmental Awareness from an Early Age

3) Combine Entertainment and Learning

4) Use AI Technology for Personalized Learning

Sea Waste Scavengers

Evan Felix Santoso, an 8th grader from BINUS SCHOOL Simprug presented an idea called Sea Waste Scavengers at the Global Microsoft Imagine Cup Junior 2022 Competition.
Operate hydro-powered and solar-powered ships that can track, find, and retrieve plastic waste in the ocean.
Answers the concern about plastic waste pollution in Indonesian and global waters that continues to threaten the survival of marine life.

👩‍🏫Introduces Various Future Professions — Provides a fun learning experience about future professions for children to discover their interests.
🌏Inspires Environmental Awareness — Includes a special theme of preserving the earth from an early age, aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by the UN.
💻 Contributes to Human Resource Empowerment — Offers personalized learning with the help of AI technology which allows children to study with multiple learning approaches.

Project's Development Process

Project Initiation

Brainstorming with mentors, identifying problems, and defining the project's purpose.

Project Planning

Creating a project plan, developing a project schedule, and estimating time.

Project Execution

Working on the project in KodeKiddo's class while guided by a mentor.

Project Monitoring and Controlling

Monitoring progress, testing the program, receiving feedback from the mentor, and updating code when needed.

Project Closure

Conducting a final project review and submitting it to Codeavour 6.0 Track 1.

Game's Demonstration

The Hospital

This minigame promotes good health and well-being practices by classifying different types of medical waste into three categories.

The Factory

This minigame highlights the practice of visual inspections during production and determines whether a product is in good condition or has defects.

The Ocean

This minigame raises our awareness about the detrimental effects of illegal fishing by role-playing as an ocean guard and catching illegal fishing ships.
