HEAD COACH DARIN DENTON

Darin Denton lives in the Golden/Applewood area with his family.  After eleven years of youth lacrosse coaching and administration (CYLA Administrator of the Year- 2015), this will be Darin’s 13th season of coaching high school boy’s lacrosse and his 7th year as the Varsity Head Coach.  Previously he coached at Wheat Ridge HS where both of his boys played and graduated.  He has very much enjoyed the opportunity to work with the great groups of players/families and the excellent coaching staff. Darin didn't start playing lacrosse until his senior year at Douglas County High School, but helped the team to an appearance in the State Championship Game against Arapahoe. He walked onto to the lacrosse team at Colorado School of Mines, back when they still had a DII varsity program. He played defensive midfield for the Ore Diggers. Darin continues to play the game every chance he gets. During the summer, you can find him on the field coaching with Team 91 Colorado; a very rewarding experience in preparing and helping the players move on to the college level.
