Lí hó (Hi in Taiwanese)! I’m Tiger Yu-Yang Hsiao (蕭予揚), born and raised in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, which I proudly call the best city in the world. I earned my bachelor's degree in space science at National Central University, and later completed my master’s degree at National Tsing Hua University, where I worked with Prof. Tomotsugu Goto and Prof. Tetsuya Hashimoto. Currently, I'm visiting Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics, working with Prof. Daniel Eisenstein and Dr. Fengwu Sun to study some of the most metal-poor galaxies at high redshift. I am also a Ph.D. candidate at Johns Hopkins University, supervised by Dr. Dan Coe. My research is rooted in observational cosmology, with a particular focus on the first stars, first galaxies, dark energy, and the expansion rate of the Universe.
