Tiffany is a mixed media artist who creates vibrant textured artworks on canvas and wearable pieces such as totes, cosmetic bags, and jewelry. In creating her one-of-a-kind tactile chromatic artwork, Tiffany uses a tufting gun to weave bright fibers on canvas, often pairing the mixed color fibers with bold paint.
Tiffany gained experience working with textiles and color theory while working in the commercial flooring industry for over 15 years where she won several industry awards for her work. She loves to bring life to her pieces by making them beautiful, touchable, colorful and sensory.
Process
After sketching directly onto my tufting cloth, I use my tufting gun to create my artworks, shapes, etc. You can see the gun in action here.
Once I have filled my cloth, I clip all end pieces, then apply a layer of glue. The glue must be completely dry, then I can take the cloth down and begin to cut out my design. I use a specialty fabric glue to adhere the pieces to the canvases and other fabrics.
