Tiep M. Hoang (Minh-Tiep Hoang) received the Ph.D. degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from Queen's University Belfast, UK, in 2019, the M.Eng. degree in Electronics and Radio Engineering from Kyung Hee University, South Korea, in 2014, and the B.Eng. degree in Electronics and Electrical Engineering from HCMC University of Technology, Vietnam, in 2012.
From 2020 to 2022, he was a Postdoctoral Fellow at University of Southampton, UK. From 5/2022 to 8/2023, he was a Postdoctoral Fellow at University of Colorado Denver, US. From 9/2023 to 3/2026, he was a Postdoctoral Fellow at Rochester Institute of Technology, US. His academic research interests included 5G/6G wireless communications, wireless security and authentication, reconfigurable intelligent surfaces (RIS), convex optimization, and machine learning. He is currently a Patent Engineer at Ofinno.
