Welcome to Tidy Phone. This Privacy Policy explains how Tidy Phone ("we," "our," or "us") collects, uses, stores, and protects your information when you use the Tidy Phone mobile application.
Tidy Phone is an Android storage and device-cleaning application that helps users find and remove duplicate photos and videos, find and manage duplicate contacts, and clear junk and cache files to free up space on their device.
To provide its core features, Tidy Phone scans and processes, entirely on your device:
Photos and videos stored on your device, to detect duplicates and similar images
Contact entries stored on your device, to detect duplicate or redundant contacts
App cache and temporary/junk files, to identify data that can be safely cleared
App preferences and settings
This scanning happens locally on your device. Tidy Phone does not upload your photos, videos, contacts, or files to our servers, and we do not have access to their content.
Tidy Phone uses Firebase Analytics to collect anonymous usage information, which may include:
App usage statistics
Device information
App performance data
Feature usage information (e.g., which cleaning tools are used)
Crash and diagnostic information
This information helps us improve the app and user experience.
We do not collect:
The content of your photos, videos, or contacts
Audio or screen recordings (Tidy Phone does not record your screen or microphone)
Personal messages, emails, or files
Account information (Tidy Phone does not require account creation)
Payment information beyond what is needed to process purchases through the Google Play billing system, which we do not directly access
Tidy Phone may request the following permissions:
Photos and Videos / Storage Access Required to scan your media library for duplicate or similar photos and videos, and to scan storage for junk and cache files that can be cleaned.
Contacts Permission Required to scan your contacts list for duplicate or incomplete entries so you can review and merge or delete them.
Notification Permission Used to notify you of completed scans, cleaning results, and optional reminders to run a cleanup.
Usage Access / App Info (if applicable) Used to show installed app sizes and cache usage so you can choose what to clean.
Tidy Phone does not request Camera, Microphone, or Screen Capture permissions, as these are not needed for its cleaning features.
We use information to:
Scan and identify duplicate photos, videos, and contacts
Identify junk and cache files eligible for cleanup
Show you storage usage and cleanup recommendations
Remember your app settings and preferences
Improve app performance and reliability
Analyze app usage trends
Fix bugs and technical issues
All scanning happens locally on your device. Deletions (of duplicate photos, videos, contacts, or junk files) are performed only when you review and confirm them within the app. Tidy Phone does not delete or modify files automatically without your action, and we do not retain copies of anything you delete.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.

Tidy Phone may use the following third-party services:
Firebase Analytics Used to collect anonymous analytics and app performance information. Please review Google's privacy practices for more information.
Google Play Billing Used to process in-app purchases or subscriptions for pro features. We do not directly access your payment information.
We take reasonable measures to protect information processed by the app. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Tidy Phone is not directed toward children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app, please contact us so appropriate action can be taken.
You may:
Review and control every deletion before it happens within the app
Disable permissions through your device settings
Stop analytics collection through available device privacy controls where applicable
Uninstall the app at any time
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will become effective when the updated policy is published within the app or on the app listing.
