Living tissues constantly face infection, inflammation, and environmental challenges. To preserve integrity, epithelial and stem cell compartments continuously interact with immune cells to repair damage and restore balance.
The Tissue Immunodynamics (TID) Lab explores how these cellular interactions coordinate tissue regeneration and homeostasis across barrier organs. Using organoid-based models as our central platform, we reconstruct and dissect these dynamic processes to understand how tissues regain balance after injury. These insights may ultimately guide future regenerative and immune-modulating strategies.
