I am working as a Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) and as a RN in the emergency department and hold a SANE-A. Aside from my current positions, my experience includes includes: psychiatric, labor/delivery, mother/baby, and school nursing. My passion is using trauma informed care (TIC) while providing care in forensics, emergency, pregnancy, gynecological health, and primary care- specifically pelvic and speculum exams; as well as, educating my colleges and others in the space how to better care for and advocate for this type of patient. Through my work with patients that have experienced sexual assault and abuse, I have developed the communication and technical skills to make a patient more comfortable in the exam room.
