Tick Pathogen Detection Protocol
1. DNA stain is made by adding 20 ml of tap water to a plastic bag labeled DNA Stain.
2. The plastic bag is sealed and gently swirled so the DNA stain dissolves.
3. The Simulated Electrophoresis Gel is then added to the plastic bag.
4. The plastic bag is sealed, then placed on a flat surface.
5. After a few minutes a color change can be observed showing the banding patterns (pink bands) for each of the dogs (Max, Daisy, Lainey).
