A flower and plant market celebrating the life of Victorian plantsman and Ryde Councillor, Charles Dimmick. Dimmick's first business was situated at 147 High Street, the current site of Network Ryde, where he sold seeds and later flower and vegetable plants grown in glasshouses situated to the rear of the building.

At the market you'll find everything plant related - flowers, veg, seeds along with horticultural inspired prints.

The market is the culmination of the first community engagement project for Ryde's HSHAZ programme.

The High Streets Heritage Action Zones (HSHAZ) programme is a place-based scheme designed to secure lasting improvements to our historic high streets and the communities who use them.

The event has been organised to support local traders. It is encouraging people to buy local in order for local businesses to survive and thrive!

Around 30 traders are expected to be present in this drive to encourage Islanders to buy local following the cancellation of many fayres and events in light of the Coronavirus crisis.

The event will be in accordance with government and Public Health England guidelines.
