The Tehleem Institute of Biblical Studies was established under the guidance of the Holy Spirit with the vision of preparing people for the spread of God's Word, the salvation available through Christ Jesus, and the fulfillment of the Great Commission of Christ. Tehleem Institute of Biblical Studies is founded on 2 Timothy 2:2 “And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.” Therefore, the Tehleem Institute of Biblical Studies aims to educate those passionate about teaching the good news of salvation and preparing others for the Kingdom of God and the Second Coming of Christ.
Generally, those with limited education carry the desire to serve faithfully but are unable to receive admission to any Bible seminary due to a lack of formal education, nor do they have access to structured theological learning. Furthermore, they often lack the formal study resources needed to guide them in commencing their ministry effectively. Consequently, they struggle to understand the mysteries of the Holy Scriptures and complex biblical issues themselves, and in turn, find it challenging to teach others.
The Tehleem Institute of Biblical Studies has developed a simplified curriculum that will help individuals with limited education to understand biblical issues and the complexities of theology. Additionally, the institute has made an effort to enable those who, due to educational or time constraints, cannot join a Bible college or seminary, to fulfill their biblical education needs through these courses.
Course Structure:
The Tehleem Institute of Biblical Studies offers three courses in biblical education:
Certificate Course: Duration: 6 months
Diploma Course: Duration: 1 year
Degree Course: Duration: 3 years
All these courses are conducted in simple Urdu language under the semester system. Urdu is the national language of Pakistan and ranks 12th in the world, with a total of 1.632 billion speakers, including those in Pakistan. Each semester or study period lasts for 6 months. These courses have been designed keeping in mind the 'Self Study' methodology. After enrollment, students are sent textbooks to their homes via registered mail, which include instructions for solving the course as well as practice exam questions. Students solve these questions on plain paper and send them back to the institute, based on which their marks are assigned, and grades are compiled. Additionally, at the end of each semester, an examination is conducted that includes both written and oral components. Every student must participate in this exam; otherwise, their results are withheld, and the results are only released upon retaking the exam. This exam is conducted in the student's local area. The marks from this exam are combined with the assignment marks to prepare the final result, and students are issued a marks sheet and a degree.
Moreover, online classes are held to guide students in addressing academic issues, with both national and international teachers delivering lectures. The medium of instruction at Tehleem Institute of Biblical Studies is Urdu. However, English and other language books are translated into Urdu for teaching purposes. Similarly, an Urdu translator is available for online lectures by English and other language teachers to ensure all students can fully benefit from the lecture.
