HISTORY OF TIAONG NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL
ABOUT
During the municipal term of Honorable Pag-asa Estrella, the Parents Teacher Association President of Tiaong Elementary School located at Brgy. Tiaong, Guiguinto, Bulacan in the person of Mr. Restituto Palileo had a meeting with the Mayor and Elementary School principal, Mrs. Loida Estrella, who happens to be the wife of Mayor Estrella. They discussed the complexities that the elementary graduates will be facing because of the lack of barangay high school in the remote area of Guiguinto. They come up with the decision to establish a secondary level in barangay Tiaong for this is the center of all barangay's situated in the rural areas. It was inaugurated in May 18, 1982 Tiaong Barangay High School started with two faculties namely Ms. Fedeliza Bartolome and Mr. Alfredo Ladesma with 50 first year high school students only using the elementary high school library under the supervision of Mrs. Loida Estrella as the School Principal.
By the year 1987-1994, Mrs. Fedeliza B. Narciso acted as the officer-in-charge. The said elementary library became the high school administration office. The Stock room and School Canteen was also given attention for its needed renovation. The donation of the multi-purpose hall by the Chinese chambers also marked as one of the physical improvements of the school. There was alaso an increase in the number of faculty from two to ten teachers. Secondary graduates of the year 1986-1987 were the first batch of graduation that marked as the most significant accomplishment of Tiaong, its under the supervision of Mrs. Fedeliza B. Narciso.
In the year 1994, Mrs. Narciso was replaced with Mrs. Adoracion C. Tacardon. Renovation of two classroom from sawall-made to create was materialized. She was then replaced by Mr. Ronaldo S.L. Castro headed the school in its name, "Tiaong National High School" from 1995-2007.
The municipality of Guiguinto whom Ambrosio "Boy" Cruz serve as its honorable mayor in the year 2002 found out that the students population had been increasing in number that it is big necessity to find a site for building additional class rooms and facilities to meet the needs of students of Tiaong National high School, DepEd Brgy.Pulong Gubat, Guiguinto, Bulacan. This was the biggest accomplishment of the school under the supervision of Mr. Ronaldo S.L Castro.
In the year 2001, a movement of school principal happened that resulted to the transfer of Mr. Ronaldo S.L Castro. Iba National High School. He was then replaced by Mr. Lauro L. Lagman.
January 2012, there was again a movement of school principal where in Mr. Lauro L. Lagman ,Tiaong National High School also made progress under the supervision of Mrs. Teresita D. De Martin. From the time of her stay in the school, she has been working for the school's improvement as the Construction on path walk, plant boxes, roof repair of the administration building.
The next developing chapter is during the time Mr. Lamberto Dionisio, Tiaong National High School had a drastic change and make-over such as the provision of new PPP building the Grade 7 building and senior high school building, repainting of all buildings ,cemented the path walks, allocation of funds to build concreted pavements of the main gate road entrance, provisions of plant box, gardens in different areas of quadrangle, repairs of ceilings of computer laboratories, and repairs of Gates and the stage. Provision of the following such as tiling of faulty room, covered path walks and interconnecting path bridges, CCTV cameras, DCP for TVL and ICT Class, income generating project such as bakery and canteen to both senior and junior high school, indeed the time of Mr. Dionisio is considered the stage of productive development.
Next Chapter, the School is under the supervision of Mr. Jaypee DS. Armenion that made ways to a new and amazing changes and development, the school added two buildings, one is a 2 storey 10 classroom building, and underway is a two storey four classroom building and covered basketball court, additional CCTV, safety grill for TVL laboratories construction of banner holder, remodeling of stage and entrance garden, acquisition of tools and instruments for senior high school laboratory, provision of stainless gate and fortified concrete perimeter fence, Also the repainting of all buildings and classrooms.
Presently, the school is managed by Eduardo T. Mañas and is morphing to a fresh and more conducive and safer place amidst the pandemic. In the face of unprecedented challenges brought on by the recent pandemic, our school community rallied together with unwavering determination and dedication to achieve remarkable success in various areas. Highlightingg our accomplishments during this trying time, showcasing our commitment to excellence, resilience, and community spirit.
Brigada Eskwela 2nd Runner Up Winner:
Despite the limitations imposed by the pandemic, our school community remained steadfast in ensuring a safe and conducive learning environment. During the Brigada Eskwela campaign, teachers, parents, students, and local volunteers worked hand in hand to clean and beautify our school campus. As a result of our collective efforts, we were awarded the 2nd Runner Up in the Division level for the Brigada Eskwela initiative. This recognition signifies our commitment to fostering an environment that nurtures growth and learning.
Achievements in Different Contests:
Amidst the challenges of remote learning, our students have displayed outstanding talent and dedication in various academic and extracurricular competitions. Notable achievements include:
Student Activity/Student day: our students won different contest in athletic events and attend science fair and symposiums.
Math Olympiad: A team of young mathematicians secured the top position in the School-level Math Olympiad, showcasing their problem-solving prowess.
School Journalism: Our team demonstrated exceptional eloquence and critical thinking, bagging the winnings in the writing and photo journalism competition.
Art Competition: A budding artist from our school won first place in a national festival of talent Division and Entry in Regional level, showcasing creativity and artistic brilliance.1st runner up in film making via national event at fun fiesta sa Pilipinas.
Maintenance of the School Amidst the Pandemic:
Maintaining the school infrastructure during the pandemic was a daunting task, but the relentless efforts of our maintenance staff and volunteers and the adminikstration ensured that the school remained safe and functional. Regular sanitization, repair work, and adherence to safety protocols were implemented to safeguard the health and well-being of our students and staff.
Programs to Support Students and Families:
Understanding the hardships faced by our students and their families during these trying times, our school initiated various programs to provide support and assistance:
Remote Learning Support: We ensured that every student had access to digital learning resources, including providing laptops and internet connections to those in need.
Assistance Program: With the help of generous donors and community partners, we organized Reading drives and distributed essential supplies to families facing financial difficulties.
Mental Health and Counseling Services: The school provided virtual counseling sessions and mental health support to help students cope with stress and anxiety during the pandemic.
Throughout this challenging period, our school community has demonstrated extraordinary resilience, determination, and compassion. Our achievements in the Brigada Eskwela competition, academic contests, maintenance efforts, and support programs are a testament to the strength of our unity and the commitment to ensuring quality education for our students, even amidst adversity. As we move forward, we shall continue to embrace the spirit of teamwork and adaptability, ensuring that every member of our school community thrives, no matter the circumstances.
