I received the B.S. degree in Mechatronics Engineering from the Technology and Science College (Brazil) in 2006, the M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from Federal University of Bahia (Brazil) in 2009 and the Ph.D. degree from Oporto University (Portugal) in Electrical and Computer Engineering, in 2012 with the European Ph.D. period at the Politecnico di Milano (Italy) in 2011. In 2013, I joined the Department of Computer Systems, Federal University of Paraiba (Brazil), as Assistant Professor, and I am currently a member of the Informatics Post-Graduation Program (PPGI). I am a reviewer for many journals including SAGE, Springer, Cambridge, ASME, and IEEE journals. My main research interests are in mobile robotics, multi-robot systems, sensor fusion, robot vision and localization, nonlinear model predictive control, and vehicle dynamics.
