Beyond creating art, I am passionate about the structures that enable a team to create effectively. I have served as Project Manager on three game development cycles, utilizing tools like Gantt charts, Microsoft Planner and Miro to facilitate clear communication, define milestones, and adapt to challenges. This section details my approach to leadership and production.
My Role: Project Manager & 3D Environment Artist
Miro Board: Facilitated initial concept development through a collaborative Miro board, consolidating mood references and establishing a unified futuristic art direction for the entire team
Gantt Chart: Created detailed project timeline with clear milestones; adapted planning mid-cycle when scope challenges required focusing on a polished vertical slice
Outcome: Successfully delivered a complete game build while maintaining team cohesion through flexible leadership and clear visual communication
The Process:
The project's initial phase was defined by evolving concepts, requiring a highly adaptive approach. Our Miro board was constantly updated to reflect these shifts and maintain a unified visual direction.Â
As the core vision solidified, frequent scope changes made the initial Gantt chart difficult to maintain. My primary role shifted to actively overseeing the production path, continuously evaluating tasks to define what was realistic versus what was aspirational.
This involved making tough calls on feature prioritization to keep the team on a doable path. This hands-on scope management was essential in our successful pivot to a polished vertical slice, ensuring we delivered a high-quality, complete build despite the iterative nature of our pre-production.
My Role: Project Manager & UI Artist
Miro Board: Managed feature prioritization and task organization through a structured Miro board, enabling clear visibility of sprint goals and progress for the compact development cycle
Gantt Chart: Maintained a comprehensive timeline tracking parallel art and programming workstreams, ensuring all Alpha and Beta milestones were met on schedule
Outcome: Delivered a fully functional mobile game within the 3-month deadline through consistent tracking and team coordination
The Process:
We maintained rigorous adherence to our Gantt chart, presenting our progress to lecturers weekly with a high degree of accuracy, which demonstrated our team's discipline and commitment to the timeline.
Concurrently, I ensured our Miro board was continuously updated to reflect the game's evolution, which was crucial for a project with a highly unique market concept that lacked direct references.
This dual-focus on strict schedule maintenance and dynamic visual documentation kept the team perfectly aligned, enabling us to efficiently deliver a fully functional and innovative mobile game build within the tight 3-month deadline.
My Role: Project Manager & Character Artist
Miro Board: Established the project's visual foundation through collaborative mood boarding and reference gathering, ensuring all character designs aligned with the psychological horror theme
Microsoft Planner: Organized and assigned all tasks using an agile-board system, providing clear visibility of individual responsibilities and project progress
Outcome: Successfully completed the team's first game project by maintaining clear communication channels and a structured yet flexible workflow
The Process:
A dedicated Miro board established the game's psychological horror aesthetic through curated mood references, providing a constant visual guide for all asset creation.
Task management was handled through Microsoft Planner, creating transparency and accountability for our first game development experience as a team. I kept up with every member's work every week to make sure everyone was on the same page on the progress of the game.
When internal conflicts arose between team members regarding design direction, I mediated discussions and refocused the team on our core vision, resolving disagreements and maintaining project momentum.
This foundation of clear visual guidance and proactive team management was crucial for successfully completing our first game project on time while maintaining team cohesion.
