For Pennsic 45, I was honored to be asked to be on the A&S Champion's Team.
(I have Opinions as to whether this should even be a thing, but it is a thing, and I will represent my kingdom with whatever skill I can muster. )
After spending waaay too much time procrasticogitating about what source to use, I decided to stick to my strengths as much as possible... which means all-ink, no-paint. And cadels are pretty popular right now, and I wanted a source that wasn't well known.
Once again, Lord Gundormr Dengir came to my rescue with a long, decorated papal bull. Most papal bulls, while nicely executed, have very little decoration, so this was a lucky find (well, not lucky, he's good at what he does, but I was lucky this even existed). Bonus points for the style being swirly, so I actually enjoyed working on it, sometimes for 14-15 hours on a Saturday.
I have used my pictures as a memory guide to write up the process, so just dive into the album and read the info/captions (I recommend opening the side bar, some of them are very long -- click on the "i" symbol top right).
[This is where I will list everyone that I need to thank for their help, and for what, but for now they are included in the relevant pictures.]
Thanks for reading!
Below is my documentation for the scroll. It needs to be updated, now that I don't have to be anonymous about it, but using [Redacted] for the identifying parts was fun :)
