I have developed my teaching philosophy through my experiences as a visiting assistant professor at Skidmore College and Colorado State University - Pueblo , as a lecturer and a teaching assistant at Missouri S & T and University of Peradeniya, and through teaching assistant workshops. I am also a mentor to graduate and undergraduate students both in labs and classes. Because of the vast differences between these three universities, I have encountered diversity in cultural backgrounds and the challenging task of teaching students in a variety of disciplines including physics, engineering, chemistry, and even arts. This diversity has challenged me to develop a whole new skill set to improve my teaching approach. With time, I’ve realized that I have built up a passion for teaching and an enthusiasm for sharing my knowledge of physics with my students.
