Our club is involved in both school and community activities. On this page you can view projects and events we have participated in, as well as activities that you can do yourself at home.
Regrowing Onions
After using green onions, leave 0.5-1 inch of the stalk.
Put your green onion stalks in water, making sure that the roots or submerged (or put in the soil).
Change water every 1-3 days, cut, and repeat.
Regrowing Celery
After using celery, leave around 1-2 inches of the stalk left.
Put the stalk in water and wait for roots to grow and change the water every 2-3 days.
After roots come in, plant the celery in soil.
A little snail we saw during observations
At the Erik/Talawanda Land Lab, ENS makes observations of various plants and animals overtime for the U.S.A. National Phenology Network through Nature's Notebook. More information can be found at https://www.usanpn.org/natures_notebook.
ENS is planning build a garden on the THS grounds, in cooperation with the Agriculture and Special Education Departments. More information soon.

ENS members helped participants at the Oxford Empty Bowls event sort waste into compostable, recyclable, and trash bins.
