Hey Jon,
Here's a bit of an update. Snow, snow, snow. First stuck in Mt. Laguna, then made it to Idyllwild before it dumped like another foot. Did a reroute around the San Jacinto closure. At first I was like screw it... I'm not afraid of a bit of snow, but there is a lot of snow on that mountain... very dangerous. Now made it to Big Bear. Staying with a Trail Angle... Kenny's Place. Eager to get back on trail and make some miles. We think that is the end of the snow storms and we are looking forward to plowing ahead. Postponing has been a very real experience. As always though, the trail is amazing and new and beautiful everyday. Added some pictures to the file, took us over 200 miles to run into a rattle snake.
All the best,
Matthew

Hey man,
Here's a bit of an update and some pictures from the trail!
I'm currently hunkered down in Mt. Laguna for the next day or two, waiting out a rain/snow storm. I got here yesterday, then stayed the night. Did about 10 more miles this morning and then hitched back to town to hunker down. Getting good long days in, have hit one 20 mile day, another 14, and only did 7 on the first day. As for trail fun... The views have been insane and breathtaking. Ran into my first taste of trail magic on the second day, but could not partake lol. Today my group and I ran into "Bad Santa", who hiked the PCT in 2017 I think. Now he is a trail angle. Been a blast so far, a bit sore and trying to just stay dry. Obviously the sierras are in the back of our minds, but for everyone it just seems we will deal with it when we get there.
