Let's get to know about some fundamentals relating to stars!!!
Light
According to NASA's websites, Light Curves are graph that shows brightness of an object over the period of time.
This shows that light bending in space does occurs. According to Einstein's Principle of General Relativity, the space wrapped itself in an invisible gravity pull. Light bending occurs when there is a disturbance during its way travelling beyond stars.
Why do star twinkles???
The light travels from one medium to another. The only problem about the light is, it cannot penetrate clouds. The Earth atmosphere is not always clear as you might think it is. There are turbulences. Therefore, the light that we see travels to a medium that has a different density which cause the light to deviate in terms of direction. Since the star is very far away from our galaxy, therefore it needs some distance to travel beyond space. You can expect hurdles through its way to our eyes.
Just imagine that you're driving to a certain destination, you would experience rough roads on your way. So that is a simple picture of what might happen to the light.
