Dear Neighbors,
We are excited to introduce ourselves as the "Thriving PICO: Clean, Green, Healthy Communities" slate of candidates for the PICO Neighborhood Council. We are a team of dedicated community members who believe in a cleaner, greener, and healthier future for our neighborhood—one with safe streets, accessible parks, more trees, and less pollution.
We envision a vibrant, people-centered PICO Neighborhood where clean air, green spaces, and pedestrian- and bike-friendly streets create a thriving community for all. We aim to build a future where families can walk, bike, and thrive in public spaces without concerns about traffic, pollution, noise, or safety.
🌳 Increase green spaces and parks so everyone has a place to play, relax, and connect.
🚲 Expand bike lanes and pedestrian-friendly streets to make our neighborhood safer and more accessible for children, the elderly, and people with disabilities.
🌱 Improve air quality and climate resilience by addressing pollution and oil drilling.
🚶 Reduce car dependency and invest in sustainable infrastructure to build stronger communities.
🏡 Support community well-being through safer public spaces, more trees, and opportunities to be active outside.
