Our founder, William Ross standing on a 300 square foot elevated deck mid-construction, showcasing how we bring clients' visions to life
We don’t just design beautiful spaces, we build them with care, precision, and soul. Every project is led by our in-house team, enabling seamless coordination from concept to completion. Whether it’s a custom wet-room design, a full gut renovation, or new design for new construction, we bring technical mastery and emotional resonance to every detail.

Thrive designed and built this custom wood front door and kitchen nook as part of a new interior build. We shaped both the door side lights and the cabinetry to welcome light and vertical movement giving the entire composition architectural clarity. Get Started >
We designed and built everything in this photo. Then, with the light from this chandelier, we made it come alive.
Thrive designed and built this custom staircase to solve design constraints The wraparound form was our elegant solution, crafted to optimize layout and movement.
Thrive designed and built this bedroom. We seemlessly merged the needs of HVAC ductwork and storage with architectural clarity, built with craft.
Thrive designed and built this upper-floor unit, including this bedroom to honor light, movement, and the geometry of home. We especially enjoyed creating this custom walk-in-closet and closet door.
We built these farm house style garage doors from raw 2x3s and 2x4s. We shaped this door by hand, mounted it with care, and inscribed it into the larger adaptive reuse. If you like the deck above, we designed and built that too, all from pressure treated lumber, all from scratch. Every board carries our rhythm. Nothing prefab here.
We went all out on this design and construction. We built the deck and railing from pieces of lumber. When we couldn't buy the cedar siding we needed to complete this design, we manufactured it ourselves: we planed down hundreds of boards and carefully installing them here with our dedication to detail and craft.
Craft can mean many things to different people. For us, it means doing it right. If what we want is not available, no problem: we will make it instead. That's what we did here for this entire design-build. The details show what's possible when a skilled and dedicated team like Thrive's gets to work, designs it right, and does the job right.

Description: Architectural rendering of a proposed new station design for the proposed Broad Street Line Navy Yard extension.
Concept: Lenses on light cannons open and close with changes in air pressure as trains move through the station, creating an ever changing pattern of light that delights and engages riders while helping to transform the Navy Yard into a new Philadelphia landmark.
Project Status: Unbuilt.
Description: Architectural rendering of a proposed addition to a local Philadelphia architecture college for a building that both houses studios and teaches design.
Concept: Studios are arranged in small groups that optimize space and flow while all facing a linear circulation spine where studio pin-ups, critiques, and work in progress can be pinned up and displayed. The effect? The building becomes a living cross section of all the college's design disciplines, accessible by simply walking through the building and levels encouraging the cross-pollination of ideas between students and professors of different majors. Everything is tied together by a central atrium, useful for college events, lectures, and university displays.
